GROUPER AND BIG TARPON IN PUERTO RICO

- Publiée le January 17, 2013

Cyril had always been under the impression that Puerto Rico only had small tarpon. He sure changed his mind after pulling some serious fish out of the urban waters of the San Jose Lagoon!!!!

Cyril starts his road trip in South Western Puerto Rico fishing with David, a local commercial fisherman who is very eager to take a break from the job to go catch a few fish on rod and reel…
After releasing a few small groupers, Cyril spots a Buoy and makes a few casts around what has become sort of an artificial reef.
Rods soon bend and reels start screaming…

Then, after a stop to hand feed tarpon in Ponce, Cyril is headed to the Capital of San Juan where Karim, a local tarpon specialist, will take him out for a mind blowing tarpon fishing session that will confirm that Puerto Rico has a lot of very good size tarpon…
